Pinups and Picnics

For my friend Kristine's 30th birthday we went to Vavoom Pinup Studio to get dolled up and take portraits as pinups. It was super fun! Happy birthday, Kristine!

Today is my friend Sarah's 30th birthday. She lives in Michigan while I'm in Chicago, so sadly, I couldn't take her picture today. Instead I took a picture of the sky in the hopes that the coming years bring only the highest and best that this next phase of her life has to offer. I love you, Sarah!

New Country Dress

I finished a new dress tonight. Not the best photo, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out in the end. :)
It's hard to see in this picture, but I did some interwoven color blocking on the bodice. I've never tried this technique before. I'm totally excited that it actually worked out.

Old Friends Resurface!

This is Julie. I haven't seen Julie in about ten years. She emailed me out of the blue this week and so I invited her to my weekly karaoke outing. It was great to see her and now she lives in the city. Hopefully there will be more catching up to be had! :)
